WORLD PARKINSON’S DAY 2022

Today is World Parkinson’s Day.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world with around 145,000 people across the UK diagnosed. It can strike anyone at any time in their lives.

One person in every 37 today in the U.K. will be diagnosed with this condition in their lifetime with 2 more people diagnosed every single hour.

I was glad to have the opportunity to meet those living with Parkinson’s about the challenges they and their families face as they struggle with this life-changing condition and also the Chair of Parkinson's UK, Gary Shaughnessy.

The theme of World Parkinson’s Day this year is ’Let’s Talk About Parkinson’s” to ensure a better understanding of this complex condition
