WARNING OF “APOCALYPTIC” FOOD PRICE RISES

With inflation rising to 9 per cent last month and the Governor of the Bank of England warning of an “apocalyptic” outlook for consumers with the worst yet to come, food banks are struggling to cope with unprecedented demand for assistance.

I challenged the UK Government to take urgent action on the cost of living crisis, as inflation is forecast to hit 10 per cent by the autumn. it is shameful that we are witnessing the scandal of people being unable to afford to feed themselves and their children in 2022 in the UK.
