VACCINE EQUITY AND THE ONE CAMPAIGN

I was delighted to have a virtual meeting with Jakob from Largs Academy about the ONE Campaign with which he is involved.

The One Campaign is a global movement which campaigns to end extreme poverty and preventable diseases so that everyone, everywhere can lead a life of dignity and opportunity.

Getting vaccines and treatments to everyone, everywhere quickly, will be a huge global challenge.

Jakob and I discussed the importance of ensuring that richer countries do all they can to assist developing countries to access the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccines for all.

Jakob is clearly a young man who is interested in and reflects on the world around him and the responsibilities of richer countries to help the poorest countries in earth. He is a most impressive young man with a bright future.
