UNION’S DAYS ARE NUMBERED DESPITE TORY DENIALS

Scotland is to be subjected to a Tory Elections Bill which is an attack on democracy, constant attempts to shift the goalposts on an independence referendum and UK Government attempts to legislate in devolved areas.

These issues expose the so-called ‘partnership of equals’ for the sham that it is, and with the looming double whammy on low paid workers of a £20 per week cut to Universal Credit alongside the imposition of a National Insurance hike which is a regressive tax-raising measure, I asked the Leader of the House of Commons, Jacob Rees-Mogg, if he felt these measures would strengthen the case for the Union.

His answer shows the UK Government is completely out of touch with Scotland as support for Independence hit new highs this week with trust in the First Minister of Scotland far outstripping leaders of other parties.
