UK TORY GOVERNMENT CUTS SCOTLAND’S BUDGET WHILST CLAIMING TO SUPPORT GROWTH

UK Tory Government cuts to Scotland’s budget are hampering the Scottish Government’s efforts to support business, investment and people through the cost of living crisis. Scotland resource budget allocation has been cut by 5.2 per cent and the capital budget allocation has been cut by 9.7 per cent in real terms.

The cost of living crisis, exacerbated by Tory policies, is causing terrible hardship in households the length of these islands. I challenged the UK Government on it hypocrisy as it claims to support economic growth across the UK while cutting the very funding that would support it here in Scotland.
