UK ONLY G7 STATE TO CUT AID AMIDST EMPTY CLAIMS OF “GLOBAL BRITAIN”

I challenged the Prime Minister on his shameful cuts to the UK’s aid budget – the only G7 state to do so. Despite this claims of the much vaunted “global Britain” continue.

No explanation or assessment has been put forward by the UK Government to justify this cut and it breaks a promise made in the Tories’ 2019 election manifesto. Reducing funding for the vital programmes that are supported by UK aid will cost lives and to do so in the midst of a global health epidemic is especially callous and cruel.
