UK GOVERNMENT PROMISES BROKEN AGAIN AS SCOTLAND LOSES OUT
The Institute for Public Policy Research has also shown that the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the UK Government’s Brexit replacement for EU Structural Funds, falls far short of what would have been provided had we remained in the EU. Only £1.5Bn will be provided from the UK scheme to 2025, compared with £11Bn that would have been provided by the EU scheme between 2021 and 2027.
This loss of funding is despite UK Government promises that it would replace EU Structural Funds in full.
