UK GOVERNMENT MUST SUPPORT FIRMS AFFECTED BY TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

Following the announcement of travel restrictions to combat the spread of Covid19, I asked the Secretary of State for Health about additional support for the aviation and travel sector.

While these restrictions are necessary to prevent cases of Covid19 being imported, they will obviously reduce travel to the UK and threaten jobs dependent on international travel. It is therefore vital that the UK Government ensures there is specific support available for the travel and aviation industries, to ensure that jobs and livelihoods are protected while travel is restricted.
