UK GOVERNMENT IN DENIAL AS SUPPORT FOR SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE SOARS

Last week the Supreme Court confirmed that under the terms of the Scotland Act 1998, the Scottish Parliament does not have the powers to hold a referendum on Scottish Independence.


The triumphalist and intransigent response to this ruling from Unionist parties across the UK ignores the fact that new polling shows support for Independence is now supported by the majority of voters in every age group, save for those over 65 years old.
