TRANSPARENCY NEEDED ON TORIES’ PORK-BARREL POLITICS

The Public Accounts Committee recently delivered a damning verdict on the UK Government’s Towns Fund, stating the Government had “not been open about the process it followed and would not disclose the reasoning for selecting or excluding towns” for funding.

I therefore asked the UK Government what measures will be taken to ensure that the Levelling Up fund and Shared Prosperity Fund will be transparent and free from the Tories’ pork barrel politics.
