TORY MIXED MESSAGES ON MASKS CONTINUES

With Covid19 continuing to spread in the UK, it is vital that we take every measure we can to reduce the spread of the virus and protect one another. The JCVI has made clear that a key measure in preventing the spread of Covid19 is wearing a mask in enclosed spaces, yet masks are a rare sight amongst members of the UK Government and Tory backbenchers, with different Tory Ministers giving conflicting advice.

The UK Government’s confused messaging on mask wearing is reminiscent of the prevarication and indecision that we saw as far back as June 2020 on this issue and undermines public health at this critical time.
