TORIES DELUDED AS HARSH REALITY OF BREXIT BITES

Scotland’s food and drink sector is being scarified on the altar of Brexit, with new trade barriers, extra red tape, labour shortages and damage to the Scottish food and drink brand. £2 billion has been lost by the sector in comparison to pre-pandemic levels, and industry leaders are warning that it is not possible to make up EU losses.

I therefore asked the UK Government how it plans to mitigate the damage caused to Scotland’s economy by the Tories’ dangerous and ideological obsession with a hard Brexit.

Sadly, it is clear that the UK Government would rather engage in fantasies about the mythical opportunities Brexit provides than practical support for struggling Scottish businesses 👇
