TORIES CONTINUE TO SHOW CONTEMPT FOR DEVOLUTION

I once again challenged the UK Government’s naked power grab that is the United Kingdom Internal Market Act, a bill that is deeply unpopular in Scotland as it seeks to undermine the Scotland’s Parliament as well as making unilateral decisions affecting Scotland about the Shared Prosperity Fund and the Levelling Up Fund which it says will “cement the Union”.

This Tory Government is using every trick in the book to aggressively assert Unionism. Meanwhile, support for the Union is falling to record lows, with 33 of the last 41 polls showing a majority of Scots support for independence.

The Tories seem to believe that treating our Holyrood Parliament with contempt will somehow endear the Union to the people of Scotland. As we can see, the opposite is the case.
