TORIES CIRCLE BELEAGUERED PRIME MINISTER

The Prime Minister has trashed the UK economy to such an extent that the new Chancellor of the Exchequer is now the de facto Prime Minister, so it was of little surprise that she failed to turn up to answer an urgent question on the Prime Minister’s Government in Parliament yesterday, with Leader of the House, Penny Mordaunt answering for the UK Government.

Liz Truss has been reduced to being a spectator as her party colleagues plot her removal.

The problem for the current Prime Minister is that whilst appearing to defend the beleaguered Prime Minister, Mardaunt was actually positioning herself as her successor.
