Our local posties work hard all year round but we especially rely on them at Christmas to deliver our Christmas greetings to friends and family. This is especially important this year as we will not be able to spend time with all the loved ones we would usually see over the festive period.

Throughout this pandemic our local posties have continued to deliver our mail and keep us connected as well as helping deliver our online purchases which have increased due to public health measures limiting our ability to shop in-store.

In the five months from April, Royal Mail delivered 177 million more parcels - up 34% on the same period last year. With the addition of Christmas cards at this time of year, our posties are going all out ensure we have the deliveries we need.

These key workers have played a vital role throughout this pandemic, delivering public health information, delivered and collected home COVID-19 home testing kits, delivered greetings to and from our loved ones, delivered online shopping, whilst many of us could work from home.

So, this year, more than ever, let’s say a big thank you to our posties. They deliver a first class service for all of us!
