SUPPORTING NORTH AYRSHIRE WOMEN’S AID

I was glad to have the opportunity on Friday 8 December to support North Ayrshire Women's Aid’s (NAWA) event in its Saltcoats facility as part of its 16 Days of Action to highlight domestic abuse.

Shining a spotlight on the scourge of domestic abuse is so important and NAWA’s survey shows we need to do more to keep women and girls safe.

I wish to pay tribute to the fantastic and dedicated NAWA staff in Saltcoats, led by the indomitable Mary Beglan, who work hard all year round to support women affected by domestic abuse and their children.
