SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
The Summer Reading Challenge is the UK’s biggest free reading for pleasure programme for children. This Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to keep reading during the summer holidays to maintain their reading skills and confidence.
I developed a lifelong love of reading as a child but, with no books at home, my local library was a godsend in allowing me regular access to books.
During this Summer Challenge children are encouraged to visit their library. This afternoon, I will be supporting Ardrossan Library by donating some children’s books from The Reading Agency for local children to enjoy.
