STATUTORY PAID BEREAVEMENT LEAVE FOR ALL - BILL’S SECOND READING TODAY

Today is the Second Reading of my Bill which would provide statutory paid bereavement leave for all who lose a close family member.

Currently there is no requirement for employers to provide any paid leave at all for employees who lose a close family member. Whilst some employers are supportive and understanding, not all are. Every worker should have the same rights, in law, for time and space to grieve their loss. Thanks to Sue Ryder for the support.
