STAGGERING TORY ARROGANCE AS £4BILLION OF TAXPAYERS’ MONEY LITERALLY GOES UP IN SMOKE

Following the release of a scathing report by the cross-party Public Accounts Committee into the UK Government’s procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the pandemic, I asked the Secretary of State for Health, Sajid Javid, who he thought was responsible for the unacceptable squandering of £4 billion worth of taxpayers’ money on unusable PPE which is now set to be burned.

It seems the Secretary of State believes the virus is to blame for this colossal waste of taxpayers’ money as opposed to the “haphazard purchasing strategy” identified by the cross party Public Accounts Committee.
