SENSE SCOTLAND TOUCHBASE AYRSHIRE

I visited Sense Scotland's TouchBase in Ardrossan, with Kenneth Gibson MSP and met Angela Bonomy Chief Executive, Sense, the team, parents and service users.

This excellent facility provides registered care services for those with communication support needs associated with complex and sensory disabilities. Whether it’s a few hours a week or 24 hours a day, individual programmes that meets the needs and lifestyle of the service users and their families are put in place.

We discussed the challenges social care charities are facing, from funding to staff recruitment and retention.
