SCOTTISH APPRENTICESHIP WEEK - J & D Pierce Contracts

I was delighted to meet apprentices Jack(fabricator), Kenzie (HGV), and Declan and Jacob (Maintenance) at J&D Pierce Contracts in Glengarnock during Scottish Apprenticeship Week last week and to meet Alex Rose, Head of Skills Development at the company and Fiona McGill from Skills Development Scotland.

It was good to meet the apprentices who are very happy and enthusiastic about the skills and opportunities from which they are benefiting as employees at this steel fabrication plant.

With over 400 employees, J & D Pierce Contracts is a major employer in the Garnock Valley and North Ayrshire and I really enjoyed the tour of the plant which is vast.
