RISK OF NEW VARIANTS NEEDS ROBUST CONTINGENCY PLANNING

We all want to see current covid restrictions eased further but some experts are warning that easing restrictions too quickly is a high-risk strategy which may contribute to new Covid19 variants developing which are resistant to the vaccine.

This would be a disaster so I raised the need for robust contingency planning as lockdown eases with the new Secretary of State for Health, Sajid Javid.
