QUEEN’S SPEECH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY

The Queen’s Speech presented a timely opportunity for the UK Government to put measures in place to assist households struggling with the soaring cost of living.

Instead, a raft of legislation which will undermine devolution seemed to be the priority.

There is no end in sight to the cost of living crisis so we need action now, yet there is nothing in the Queen’s Speech to suggest that such action will be taken.

Scotland deserves better. Scotland deserves to have its own future in its own hands. Scotland deserves independence.
