PASSPORT MISERY CONTINUES

Too many people are facing intolerable delays with their passport applications.

This has caused some to cancel much-needed holidays or important family events abroad.

Civil servants working in the Passport Office are under huge pressure and staff morale is reported to be at an all-time low due to the lack of government preparations and planning for huge spike in applications which was expected despite repeatedly being promised that things will improve, the 10-week turnaround target continues to be missed in many cases.

I again challenged the UK Government to do all that is necessary to sort out yet another aspect of backlog Britain.
