OFFICIAL OPENING OF EXTENSION TO GLENGARNOCK IRONWORKS BOWLING CLUB

It was a lovely day for the official opening of the fantastic new extension to Glengarnock Ironworks Bowling Club last weekend, with the honours carried out by Kenneth Gibson MSP.

This extension was supported by a £70,000 grant from Sportscotland and huge fundraising efforts from the club itself.

Improvements include wheelchair access, LED lights and a new efficient heating system.

This club dates back to 1857 and is still going strong due to the determined efforts of its Trustees. New members are always welcome.

Also in attendance was Cllr Anthea Dickson and local businessman and charity campaigner, James Smith and fab pipers too.
