MORE ACTION NEEDED TO TACKLE PENSIONER POVERTY

Recent from Independent Age has highlighted that 5% of pensioner couples, and almost 19% of single pensioners, have no other income save for their state pension & related benefits.

With one of the lowest rates of state pension in Europe, I urged the UK Government to take more decisive action to address the scandal of pensioner poverty to ensure dignity in old age.
