MEN’S HEALTH WEEK - 14th-20th JUNE

During Men’s Health Week it is worth reflecting on the fact that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. But there are often no symptoms. That is why it is so important that everyone knows their risk.

Prostate cancer referrals fell by 52,000 due to Covid-19 last year, because it was harder for men to have those crucial conversations with their doctor. More than 8,600 fewer men started treatment for prostate cancer in 2020 than in the previous year. Many of these missing men could have life-threatening cancer without knowing it. If we don’t act now, thousands could be left with less chance of a cure.
