LAUNCH OF THE GLEN ROSA

Yesterday was a fantastic day as the MV Glen Rosa was launched at Ferguson Marine, Port Glasgow.

This is the culmination of years of effort and hard work from the workforce at the yard and the many partners involved, with newly qualified welder, Beth Atkinson having the honour of naming and launching the vessel.

This vessel - which will complete its sea trials before entering service next year - is a significant addition to the CalMac Ferries

fleet , the second of two ferries from the Scottish Government-owned yard following the MV Glen Sannox which is completing sea trials before entering service.

Both vessels will enter service on the Ardrossan - Isle of Arran route.
