KILWINNING ABBEY

On a recent sunny afternoon, I was able explore the wonderful Kilwinning Abbey.

This abbey was founded some time between 1162 and 1188 and is well worth a visit. If you can manage the climb, the views from the tower are amazing!

Thanks to all the volunteers from Kilwinning Heritage for staffing the site and their excellent guided tours as they work to conserve the heritage, history and character of Kilwinning.
