ISLE OF ARRAN LAGG DISTILLERY

I was delighted to visit Isle of Arran Distillery, Lagg Whisky in Kilmory, Arran.

Thank you to Miller for giving me a tour and taking the time to explain how Lagg’s whisky is distilled and matured and how peat gives it a unique character.

Batch 1 of the distillery’s inaugural release has been very well received, with its distinctive and beautifully designed bottle, inspired by the natural island environment, the history of whisky-making on Arran as well as the distinctive smoky flavour of its pleated single malt whisky.

Thanks also to John and Anne Bruce for all their help, good cheer and warmth on my trip to Arran. It was lovely to catch up with them.
