I STAND UP FOR BEITH WORKERS AS PRIME MINISTER TURNS HIS BACK

Yesterday at Prime Minister’s Questions I urged the Prime Minister to intervene urgently to support workers in Beith who are engaged in strike action to secure parity and fairness at the Defence Equipment and Support Ministry of Defence (UK) site.

These workers are critical to ensuring that necessary supplies to Ukraine are uninterrupted and I stand with them.

The Prime Minster’s response was extremely disappointing, mirroring the intransigence of management at the site, meaning, unfortunately that there is no end in sight for this dispute. I will continue to support these workers in their quest for fairness and justice.
