GEORGE DONOHOE RIP

On Friday I joined with many others to bid farewell and celebrate the life of George Donohoe.

George was the kindest man who was a true family man. He lived a full and fulfilled life with his beloved wife Gwynne and his children and grandchildren who meant the world to him.

George was also a well-kent face as a community activist, especially so in his adopted home town West Kilbride, North Ayrshire, working to improve his community through the Rotary and a range of other local groups.

As Convenor of Cunninghame North SNP constituency he was a long standing and active campaigner for Scotland’s independence.

Today we mourned his loss, said farewell to a true gentleman and shared anecdotes about this lovely man.

So many of us were proud to call George a friend and we shall miss him dreadfully as will his wife Gwynne and his family.

Rest in peace, George.
