END OUR PAIN

I was delighted to once again meet recently with End Our Pain campaigners who are seeking access to medical cannabis which can have a transformative effect on the symptoms of children who live with severe epilepsy.

Whilst access to legal cannabis under prescription was legalised on 1st November 2018, there remains an almost total block on NHS prescriptions for it. As a result, patients have been forced to either go private at considerable and unsustainable personal expense whilst also caring for a sick child.

I met with campaigner Margie Huxley and signalled my support for this campaign, urging the U.K. Government to allow those who could benefit from medical cannabis to have the opportunity to do so under medical prescription.
