CLOSURE OF WEST KILBRIDE POST OFFICE

I am deeply concerned to hear of the planned closure of West Kilbride, North Ayrshire’s Post Office on 10th May.

This town has already lost its bank and will create real challenges in terms of access to cash and financial inclusion for the community and local businesses.

I will be engaging and working with the Post Office to try to secure a new sub-postmaster willing to take on this franchise and will be meeting with the Post Office.

I have already raised this in the House of Commons and continue he to call for minimum service standards for banking and post office services, including physical outlets in our towns.
