CHARITY SECTOR CONCERNS AS DONATIONS PLUMMET

Charities large and small are a vital part of the fabric of our communities, supporting those in need at times of crisis, in a range of ways. However, across the UK up to £580 million could be lost to the sector over the next three months as research shows more than a third of people are set to cut their charitable donations as the cost of living crisis bites.

At a time when charities are struggling with rising costs and reduced donations, I called on the UK Government to fully assess the impact of the cost of living crisis on the sector and to support the work of charities in our communities.
