CERVICAL CANCER PREVENTION WEEK - 18-24th JANUARY

Cervical screening is the best protection against cervical cancer, but it isn’t always an easy test. Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdowns have made it even harder for many. Research from Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust shows that one in 10 (9%) say they definitely wouldn’t attend cervical screening currently and 22% are feeling less likely to attend.

While screening services continue, we know that in some areas practices are unable to carry out cervical screening, or may have less appointments available. At a time when anxiety is high, reliable information is more important than ever.

Women need to be able to access the support and information they need, to make informed decisions on attending their cervical screenings.
