CENTENERY - ARDROSSAN WAR MEMORIAL

I was so pleased to recently pay my respects at the service to commemorate the centenary of Ardrossan’s War Memorial alongside Royal British Legion Scotland Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston Branch.

It was a suitably sombre occasion and a fitting reminder of how much was sacrificed by previous generations to protect our freedoms.

It is really poignant to consider how many died from the town itself, with so many of the current generation having a family member commemorated on the memorial.
