BREXIT SHAMBLES HARMING SCOTLAND

The UK is on course to leave the EU without a deal in just three weeks’ time. This risks huge harm, causing higher food prices in shops and possibly even shortages of some goods, while businesses face additional costs and barriers which will undoubtedly cost jobs.

This is made all the worse by the fact that Scotland did not vote for this, whilst the people of Northern Ireland, who also voted to remain, will continue to have access to the EU single market and customs union.

I therefore asked the Minister if the UK Government still believed Brexit was turning out to be the ‘titanic success’ that Boris Johnson predicted it would be.
