AT LAST TREASURY COMMITS TO DELIVERING ENERGY GRANTS TO PARK HOMES RESIDENTS

The recent announcement from the Treasury regarding support with energy bills was welcome as far as it went. However, I have been campaigning to ensure that mounting concerns of those living in park homes - many of whom are elderly and vulnerable - and who do not pay their energy bills directly to a supplier, are addressed and that park homes residents do not miss out on the support that was promised to every other household.

Many of my constituents live in park homes as do around 200,000 people across the UK. To miss out on this otherwise universal support would be hugely unjust and unfair.

I again urged the Chancellor to commit to ensuring park home owners would receive this £400 support and the Treasury Minister has at long last assured me that work is ongoing to find the deliver this support. Many of my constituents will be most relieved to hear this.
