ARDROSSAN FOOD BANK FUN DAY

The recent fun day at Ardrossan's Food Bank was a huge success.

Based in the Church of the Nazarene, this was an excellent opportunity for this vital community resource to showcase its important work across North Ayrshire.

Staff and volunteers' hard work ensured this day was a huge success with a bouncy castle, BBQ, face painting, funfair games, a bakery.

I met up with old pals Christina Brown and Maria Paterson-Kidd and family.

It is utterly disgraceful in this day and age that so many struggling households are forced to rely on the essential support foodbanks can provide, more important than ever with soaring prices and ever higher bills during this cost of living crisis. Yet, in Ardrossan we are so lucky to have such a dedicated and committed group of volunteers to support those who need it.
