ANOTHER BREXIT LIE EXPOSED AS ENERGY PRICES SET TO SOAR

Rising gas prices look set to put more pressure on household budgets at a time when the UK Government delivers the double whammy of the biggest cut in social security since the founding of the welfare state with the £20 per week cut to Universal Credit, alongside tax rises on low paid workers.

This is set to push more of my constituents into fuel poverty so I challenged the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s irresponsible and wildly misplaced claims that energy prices would fall post-Brexit.
