LAUNCH OF POPPY SCOTLAND APPEAL 2020

I was pleased to be able to attend this year’s virtual launch of Poppyscotland Appeal 2020 at Dover House in London.

This year will be a particularly challenging year for this charity due to public health restrictions -perhaps the most challenging in its 99 year history.

All major commemorations throughout 2020 have had to be scaled back and moved almost entirely to safe, virtual formats, whilst still honouring and remembering the fallen.

I look forward to participating in Remembrance Sunday, as I have done every year as the MP, by laying a wreath at the Largs War Memorial, in a safe way, as per public health advice.
