TORIES RIPPING UP THEIR OWN BREXIT DEAL

I asked Michael Gove, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, what he would say to those who voted for the Tories last December based on their ‘oven-ready Brexit’ deal, which the UK Government has now decided to rip up. This decision threatens a no-deal Brexit which will magnify the economic fallout of Covid19, as well as breaking international law and undermining other countries’ ability to trust the UK when negotiating trade deals.

Rather than answering the point of the question, Mr Gove could barely keep a straight face as he bizarrely claimed voters were turning from ‘Yes to No’ on independence. Given that support for independence has surged to record highs in recent weeks, it is no surprise this was met with audible laughter.
