INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR OLDER PERSONS

Today we celebrate International Day for Older Persons.

Older people have been disproportionately hit by covid-19.

The average age of those losing their lives to covid-19 is aged 83.

Now, as we face a second wave, older people will be facing the next few months with fear and trepidation.

This year has been tough, and Covid-19 means we’re all facing uncertain times ahead.

I pledge to continue to work to represent the concerns of older people in North Ayrshire & Isle of Arran

We will get through this together.
