There can be little doubt that the UK Government’s Internal Market Bill is a full frontal attack on
The Scottish Parliament, an affront to the people of Scotland and suggests the Prime Minister thinks he is above the law.
The U.K. Government has admitted this legislation breaks international law - but it also breaks domestic law.
If the Prime Minister won’t listen to The Scottish Government, will he listen to the National Farmers' Union of Scotland who warned the proposals “limit the devolved administrations”; the Commons Constitutional Affairs Committee that warned it will “create new reservations in areas of devolved competence” and the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS), which warned it undermines devolved education functions.
Scotland is speaking out and the Scottish Parliament will reject this attack on devolution.
As this Prime Minister breaks domestic law, disregards the settled will of the people of Scotland and ignore the concerns of Scotland’s communities and presses ahead with this Bill, which was introduced today, the time for Scotland’s place as an independent, international and law abiding nation is almost here. Scotland’s time has come."
