PUBLIC MESSAGING VITAL TO TACKLING CORONAVIRUS

Clear public messaging is key to fighting the Covid19 pandemic, and I therefore asked the Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, how he can persuade people to get behind his Government’s public safety message. There have been concerning reports of an illegal rave which attracted thousands of people near Bath, as well as a protest against masks on the streets of London.

It is vital that people understand the Government’s guidance on the pandemic and how to protect themselves and loved ones. The UK Government must therefore ensure this messaging is as clear as possible, so we can all protect one another as best as possible.
