NATIONAL POSTAL WORKERS DAY

Today is National Postal Workers Day.

This is a day to promote the brilliant work that our postal workers do all year round. This is particularly pertinent this year given the current Covid-19 crisis and the service that our members are providing across the country.

Today marks the ninth annual National Postal Workers Day, and we celebrate the hard work and dedication of hundreds of thousands of postal workers at Royal Mail, who collect, sort and deliver letters, parcels and packets to 29 million addresses, 6 days a week.

During this time, it is clear how important our posties are and we need them to be as safe as they can possibly be during this health crisis.

Below are photos from my visits to some of our local posties - in different times - with Sean hard at work with his colleagues from Dalry, North Ayrshire Sorting Office.
