SINGLE PARENTS DAY

Today is National Single Parents Day 2020 and I am delighted to support One Parent Families Scotland to spread the word so that everybody knows about this chance to show their appreciation - an opportunity for the single parents in our lives and for single parents everywhere to celebrate their own strengths and triumphs, however big or small.

Any parent could become a single parent.

This is a chance to tell single parents that they are valued.

Single parent families make up 25% of all families in Scotland. Most of us will know at least one single parent, but sadly we still hear from single parents that stigma and judgemental attitudes around one parent families is still an issue.

Single Parents Day 2020 as a chance to turn that message around and tell people about the achievements that single parents accomplish for themselves and their families every day. Single Parents UK
