PENSION JUSTICE FOR WOMEN BORN IN THE 1950s

I was delighted to have the chance to once again meet up with women born in the 1950s in Ardrossan Library about how they have been robbed of their pensions by the UK Government. These women have ran a dignified and well-organised campaign to secure pension justice. To have their retirement date changed with little or no notice is unfair and unacceptable. It has thrown many of them into poverty and hardship, costing them tens of thousands of pounds. If re-elected, I will continue to champion their cause in Parliament and will not allow this issue to be crowded out of the political agenda. Until they secure pension justice, they are not going away.
