BREXIT CHEATING STILL SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET

The Prime Minister has tried to steamroll Parliament into backing his bad deal on Brexit, and avoid any proper scrutiny into the implications of the deal he has cobbled together. This deal is even worse for Scotland than Theresa May’s very bad deal, and Parliament rejected that three times.

Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU, and our needs and wishes continue to be ignored in an attempt to ‘get Brexit done’. The referendum result across the UK was a very narrow victory for the Leave campaign and the Electoral Commission has concluded that electoral law was broken, a fact many are conveniently ignoring.

I cannot back this deal, and I certainly cannot back having the decision on it fast-tracked to meet some arbitrary deadline dreamt up by Boris Johnson just to keep the Brexiteers onside.
